Apostrophe’s founders wanted to fix the broken healthcare system by simplifying the billing and payment processes, and passing the savings onto customers and members. We even won an award for our innovative approach.
Our mission — to deliver better benefits for less money — has always been guided by our values of Simplicity, Transparency and Love. But the founders wanted to do more than just write heartfelt mission statements and values.
Their desire to be responsible corporate citizens led them to set up Apostrophe as a benefit corporation which holds companies to a higher standard for accountability, transparency and purpose than other companies.
They went even further and earned Certified B Corp status, which requires a rigorous assessment of how our operations and business model impact our employees, community, environment and customers.
While we are a for-profit company, we balance the financial interests of our shareholders with the best interests of our stakeholders — members, clients, employees and community.
